I am bothered by the use here of the word “Hasbara”. “Propaganda” is not a dirty word, and it is what we are talking about. Although I admit that I would hate to have something called a Ministry of Propaganda, the old Zionist approach to public relations, Hasbara, which explains what we are doing after the fact, no longer works. It’s dated. We’ve got to stop looking at things the way we once did. Face it: We are in the game of changing people’s minds, of making them think differently. To accomplish that we need propaganda.
